EN proportional integral derivative (PID), control system  
control action in which the output is proportional to a linear combination of the input, the time integral of input, and the time rate of change of input. Commonly used in hydroelectric applications for the control of a generator’s active power (speed), and reactive power (voltage).
FR PID (proportional integral derivative), système de régulation
