International Electrotechnical Commission

the current a module can withstand in the reverse direction to normal without damage to the module. This rating is obtained from the manufacturer at expected operating conditions

This current rating does not relate to bypass diode rating.

Note1 to entry: module reverse current is the current flowing through the PV cells in the reverse direction to normal current.

Note2 to entry: A typical figure for crystalline silicon modules is between 2 and 2,6 times the normal short circuit current rating ISC MOD.
