Definition: | Resin materials mainly consists of a cured epoxide polymer resin that can be hardened by graft polymerization and crosslinking at its many epoxy groups when mixed with a catalyst or hardener. This is regarded as a reactant because it can be used for practical purposes when thermally hardened as a result of mixing with a prepolymer before graft polymerization and a hardener. Prepolymers are also known as epoxy resin, but they are not included in this material class. (Mixing agents) |
