EN	air mass
path length that light from a celestial object takes through the earth’s atmosphere relative to the length at the zenith where air mass = 1 at the zenith NOTE The air mass is 1/sin (gamma), where gamma is the elevation angle of the sun.
FR	masse d’air
longueur du trajet de la lumière provenant d’un objet céleste et traversant l’atmosphère terrestre par rapport à la longueur au zénith lorsque la masse d’air = 1 au zénith NOTE La masse d’air vaut 1/sin(gamma), où gamma est l’angle d’élévation du soleil.
